Audeze HeadphonesButterscotch Records, Touch Vinyl, Audeze Headphones to host Special Hi-Fi Event in LA

Mikael Jorgensen & Graph Rabbit to perform live on February 22nd, 2014 – 7pm.

As part of our effort to redefine hi-fidelity for the modern era, Butterscotch Records, Audeze Headphones, Touch Vinyl and UCLA Radio are teaming up for a special event in LA on February 22nd.  Following Butterscotch Records’ NYC gallery event of last fall that Coolhunting said, “[gave] the sense that Butterscotch Records is pretty serious, and pretty unique,” the label is at it again in LA this February. This event at the expertly curated store Touch Vinyl in LA will center around performances by Butterscotch artists Graph Rabbit and Mikael Jorgensen (of Wilco) as well as special high-end turntable listening stations put together for the event by boutique-grade headphone company Audeze.  It’s a rare opporunity to hear records expertly cut by vinyl prodigy Alex Deturk (read CNET article here) from the high resolution masters spinning on audiophile grade tables with some of the most advanced and hi-fi headphones on the market.

“In our era of compressed MP3s and horrible earbuds dangling from phones, I’m thrilled that people will get a chance to hear our records in analog on some of the best turntables and headphones available. With vinyl and turntable sales skyrocketing, clearly people are craving hi-fidelity experiences again, and we hope to provide a hi-fi experience without the snobbery too often affiliated with it.”

- Allen Farmelo, Butterscotch Records

Peforming live are the dreamy ambient-acoustic duo Graph Rabbit with the electronic synth-jams of Mikael Jorgensen, for an event that will celebrate the rising interest in high-fidleity, vinyl and the revival of craft-class record making!
